The County Welfare Directors Association of California (CWDA) is proud to welcome you to the 2026 Annual Conference, October 14-16, at the Anaheim Marriott. As we gather this year under the theme, “CWDA 100 - A Century of Impact”, and reflect on how we have and continue to advance Human Services for the welfare of all Californians, we are honored to celebrate 100 years of service, partnership, innovation, and impact alongside more than 850 attendees from across the state.

This milestone event will bring together a diverse community of leaders and professionals, including representatives from California’s 58 county human services agencies, state and local policymakers, legislative staff, partner organizations, community-based organizations, and the many individuals dedicated to strengthening services and improving outcomes for Californians.

Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the achievements and lessons of the past century while exploring new ideas and strategies that will shape the future of human services. Engaging sessions and presentations will highlight innovative approaches from counties and partners that are transforming the lives of children, families, older adults, and people with disabilities. Together, we will also examine how local agencies continue to navigate evolving policy and legislative landscapes with resilience, creativity, and commitment.

We are especially excited to feature inspiring keynote speakers who will provide meaningful insights, practical tools, and forward-thinking perspectives to help counties meet the opportunities and challenges ahead.
