The format of our virtual conference will run similar to how we run it when it is held in-person. It will be two days, October 7-8 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM with scheduled breaks, lunch, and networking opportunities. Please take a look at the Agenda Page of our conference website for the current updated agenda, speakers, and sessions. We will be sending a What to Expect/Tip Sheet a week prior to the virtual conference, and the login information will be sent to you by Friday, October 2 so that you can access the site and get familiar before the conference kicks-off.

We will have a lobby where attendees will be brought to when they first enter the conference. From there they can choose to talk to CWDA representatives live at the registration desk, go to the exhibit hall, or select the session(s) they would like to attend. The exhibit hall is where all our sponsors will be located, and attendees will have the opportunity to live video chat with them or chat via their personal chat box. All breakout sessions and general sessions will be live, with the opportunity for attendees to ask questions, just as if they were onsite.

There are no links that will be sent out for individual breakout sessions, nor do attendees need to sign up for them. It works just like our in-person conference, where attendees go to the breakout session room they want to attend. On a virtual platform, attendees will click on the session and are automatically brought into the room to join. If the attendee has another session they would like to attend or has a conflict and needs to leave the session, they can simply exit the session and select the desired new session they want to join. Please make sure to white list the event domain to ensure access to the virtual conference: https://www.virtualeventplace.com.

COVID-19 STATEMENT: In this unprecedented and unpredictable situation, we are continuing to monitor the status and safety of large group gatherings and direction from federal, state, and local officials. With the CWDA Annual Conference originally scheduled for an in-person conference in the fall, we are cautiously optimistic that the situation in our nation and state will improve; however, due to the uncertainty and safety of our attendees we have decided the CWDA Annual Conference will be held as a Virtual Conference this year in October 2020.

Registration is now open! Please click through the pages for updates on the conference, scheduled events, presenters, and more! Stay healthy and well.
